A 22-year-old is dead after being struck by a vehicle while riding his bike Monday around 7:30 pm. A vehicle traveling south on 11th Street collided with the bike on E. Ash Street in Springfield. The man was transported to Springfield Memorial Hospital for treatment for life-threatening injuries, but did not survive. The occupants in the vehicle were not injured. Crash reconstruction was completed by Springfield Police, and the case remains under investigation.
