3 arrested for 1 bank robbery, suspect wanted for another

Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – Springfield Police report a suspect in one bank robbery has not been located but all suspects in another one have been taken into custody.

Officers responded to a hold-up alarm around 4:40pm October 9th at the US Bank on E North Grand. The suspect was said to be a man wearing a mask and escaped with several thousand dollars but has not yet been identified.

Then Saturday morning ten minutes before noon, Police responded to a robbery at Clock Tower Community Bank on Monroe Street.

A witness provided the getaway vehicle’s information to officers, who stopped the vehicle near the intersection of Pasfield and Monroe. 35-year-old Jacob Ortiz-Wilson and 32-year-old Shaea Keyes, both of Danville, exited the vehicle and were arrested.

A 3rd suspect, 33-year-old Winston Douglas of LaSalle fled in the vehicle but was taken into custody when it was disabled near Pasfield and Jefferson Streets.

The investigation continues. Anyone with information is asked to call Sangamon and Menard County Crime Stoppers at 217-788-8427.
