Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – This week, Crime Stoppers is seeking to assist the Springfield Police Department to identify an individual in reference to a burglary that occurred in the 2800 block of S. 6th Street, in Springfield.

On August 7, 2025, officers were called to the building in reference a garage door being forced open.  Once inside it was discovered that several power tools were stolen totaling over $1,000.00.  The suspect was wearing a long sleeve jacket with stripes and a back pack.
