Crime of the Week:  Help needed solving recent Springfield burglary

Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – This week, Crime Stoppers is seeking information to assist the Springfield Police Department in reference to a burglary that occurred at Prairie Telecom, 1900 Moffat, in Springfield.

On September 16, 2025 in the overnight hours, video shows a middle aged, bald, white male with facial hair approach the business on a bicycle. The male suspect gained access to the business by cutting a chain link fence and causing over $2,000 in damage.  Once inside, the suspect stole tools, wiring and other material.
