SPRINGFIELD, Il. (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – Springfield residents will have one less place to go for gourmet popcorn, caramel apples, and the holiday season.

According to our news partners at WAND TV, Del’s Popcorn Shop said on Facebook Aug. 15 that it will permanently close its location in the city.

The shop added that the Springfield owner will begin a “well-deserved” retirement.

The post continued on to highlight their gratitude for their customers and the many years of memories made at Del’s, along with what a privilege it has been to serve the Springfield community.

While Del’s Popcorn Shop is no longer in Springfield, popcorn lovers can still check out locations in Mt. Zion and Decatur or place an online order on Del’s website.
