LLCC Band and Choir to perform fall concerts

Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – The Lincoln Land Community College Choir and Band invite the public to upcoming free concerts on Friday, Dec. 5 and Monday, Dec. 8 in A. Lincoln Commons on the main LLCC campus, 5250 Shepherd Rd, Springfield.

The LLCC Choir, directed by Dr. See Tsai Chan, adjunct instructor of music, will present “Dream and Drama” on Dec. 5 at 7 p.m. Selections will feature soloists and include songs from musicals, movies and operas like “Wicked,” “The Greatest Showman,” “The Magic Flute,” “Sister Act 2,” “Sleeping Beauty,” “Cinderella” and more.

The LLCC Band will perform on Dec. 8 at 7 p.m. The band is directed by Jason Waddell, professor of music.

LLCC Music will celebrate the first Honor Recital for music majors on Wednesday, Dec. 3 at 7 p.m. in Menard Hall, Room 2250.

Both LLCC’s Band and Choir also have upcoming performances in the community. The LLCC Choir will perform as part of the Christmas Cantata at the First United Methodist Church on Dec. 14 at 10:30 a.m. The LLCC Band is sponsoring the Capital City Area Band performance in the Trutter Center on Nov. 25 at 7 p.m.
