Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – Our Friends of Sangamon County Animal Control Dog of the Week is a special girl in need of special love and attention.

Bubbles is the sweetest dog currently in our care at Sangamon County Animal Control and Adoption Center. This beautiful two year old girl wants nothing more than to be showered with pets and affection from everyone she meets, Come visit her and sit in the shade and this good girl will lean into you to share some love.

Unfortunately Bubbles is heart worm positive. She’s in need of a peaceful home where she can recover from her treatment. A loud, noisy and stressful kennel is not the right place. We’re looking for a foster or adopter who will be patient and give her the time she needs to recover.

Are you willing to help this sweet girl? She needs a foster or permanent home ASAP so she can begin her treatment. Please come on out to SCACAC to meet her and all of the other dogs that are available for foster, foster to adopt, and adoption. Shelter hours are Monday-Friday 10:30-4:15 and Saturday 9:00-1:00.
