Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – Our Friends of Sangamon County Animal Control Dog of the Week is a young and athletic dog who is full of life. This wonderful boy was abandoned by his owner and will be a great new best friend to the person who is ready for adventure.

Diablo is a two-year-old lab mix. He’s very sweet natured and loves attention and affection. He’s a strong guy but he walks nicely on a leash and takes treats gently. He’s a smart boy who is eager to please. He knows the sit, shake and down commands. Diablo has been evaluated by a professional trainer who called him ‘a solid dude.’

This Solid Dude would love to meet you. Please come out to spend some time with him and all of the other dogs who are waiting to meet their new families. Our kennels are full of a great variety of dogs. Shelter hours are Monday-Friday 10:30-4:15 and Saturday 9:00-1:00.
