Meet Plaid — APL Cat of the Week

Meet Plaid — APL Cat of the Week

Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – Plaid is a beautiful 1-year-old tortie with a soft spirit and striking colors. She’s very scared of people right now, but only because she hasn’t had much experience being around them yet. Everything is still new and a little overwhelming for her.

She has feline leukemia, which means she has a shorter life expectancy than most cats. She is available for our permanent foster program, where you provide the home and the love, and APL provides her medical care.

With time, patience, and gentle care, Plaid can learn that people mean safety and kindness. She’ll need a calm, understanding home where she can take things at her own pace and build confidence little by little.

Plaid may be shy for now, but with love and trust, her true personality will shine through — just like the beautiful tortie she is. Come meet her at the Animal Protective League, located at 1001 Taintor Road in Springfield. We are open every day from noon to 5 p.m.
