Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – Stewart is a 3-year-old Pit Bull Terrier mix with a big personality and an even bigger heart. This goofy, playful boy is always ready to turn an ordinary day into an adventure. Whether he’s zooming around the yard, romping with his dog friends, or soaking up attention from his favorite people, Stewart is happiest when he’s having fun and sharing the love.

He’s an active guy with lots of energy, so he’d thrive in a home that’s ready for playtime, walks, and plenty of enrichment. One of his favorite pastimes? Cereal box puzzles! Give him a box filled with goodies and watch him proudly show off his problem-solving skills.

Stewart does well with correction and is eager to please — especially when rewards are involved! He loves being praised for good behavior and responds wonderfully to positive reinforcement. He’s also quite the chatterbox and isn’t shy about “talking” to you when he’s excited. In fact, sometimes he gets so thrilled that he trips over his own paws — it’s all part of his silly charm.

If you’re looking for a fun-loving, energetic companion who will keep you laughing and fill your home with joy, Stewart might just be your perfect match. Come meet this sweet, wiggly boy and see how quickly he steals your heart! He’s available for foster or adoption at the Animal Protective League, located at 1001 Taintor Road in Springfield. We are open every day from noon to 5 p.m.
