Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – A recall is taking place regarding a specific type of milk from Prairie Farms Dairy.

According to our news partners at WAND-TV, the dairy is recalling certain containers of fat-free milk over concerns that it may contain some sort of food-grade cleaning agent.  The expiration date on the milk is December 8.

The milk was sold at Woodman’s stores in Illinois and Wisconsin.  Woodman’s locations in Illinois are almost exclusively in the Rockford and Chicagoland areas.  Some 20 Woodman’s locations are currently open.

Prairie Farms says they were alerted to a potential quality issue in recent days.

Anyone who bought the affected milk should pour it out, or return it to the store for a refund.
