Springfield, IL (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – Sangamon County Clerk Don Gray announced he is seeking re-election.

“When you vote, you deserve to know that it’s secure, accurate, and counted-every single time,” Gray stated in a press release. “That’s why we’ve made voting easier while giving voters confidence in a secure election process with common-sense reforms. I’m running for re-election to continue making it easier to vote and harder to cheat.”

Gray says he has expanded access to vital records and county services by taking the Clerk’s office directly to residents. Enhanced features online and mobile office hours are making requesting records easier.

As the Sangamon County Clerk’s Office prepares to absorb the responsibilities of the Recorder’s Office, Gray says he has been working toward a smooth transition and ensuring that taxpayers receive services without added expense.

Don and his wife Katy, live on the west side of Springfield and have raised their two children there.
