SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (CAPITOL CITY NOW) – A workshop next week in Springfield hosted by Innovate Springfield and the local Small Business Development Center could help small businesses with some of the tools they need to tell their stories and stay in businesses.

Kevin Lust is the center’s director, and tells the WTAX Morning Newswatch speakers will share some of the best skills they’ve learned over the years that can make life easier.

“A couple of them are names people will know.  All of them are people that people should know,” said Lust.  “Stacy Skrysak…Mylas Copeland…Gemma Long, who is the founder of Illinois Local and Gem PR and Media Company is going to be talking about that very important issue for businesses.”

Lust says that’s in addition to Daniel Reifenberger who will discuss workplace efficiency and AI.

“The notion is that, as a small business owner or a potential small business owner, your time is probably your most valuable commodity,” said Lust, who wants to make sure the session and its time can make you stronger and more productive.

The session will be Tuesday, September 22, in the Innovate Springfield space at Horace Mann downtown.  CLICK HERE to register, and for more information.  The session is free.
